News From Nowhere is a club for education, debate and entertainment founded by Ros Kane in 1996. It hosts an annual programme of evening talks in The Epicentre, Leytonstone, given by visiting speakers and followed by lively discussion, not to mention the shared food! You can download and print off this year's schedule (2019) from the links below:

We photographed the Notting Hill Carnival costume workshop of
Masquerade 2000 when we interviewed band leader Margaret Hamilton in Mill Radio Programme 3. Take a look at these beautiful photographs of work in progress: MASQUERADE 2000

We photographed some of the festivities at The Mill to celebrate

On Sunday May 14th 2017 a group from The Mill took part in the 2017 Charity Walk for Peace. Click HERE for pictures from the event, at which The Mill's group of a dozen or so people joined 4,000 others to walk an 8 km route around the Royal Docks area on the banks of the Thames in Newham. Money was raised by sponsorship, which was matched pound-for-pound by the amazingly generous Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association. See Mill Radio Programme 19 .

The Great Millish Bake-off was another highly successful fund-raising event held at The Mill on Saturday 24th June 2017. Click HERE for pictures.
