Phyllis Broadbent, at 95, is the oldest living London Pearly Queen. In this 45 minute chat with Adele (David also being there as a ghosly presence) she describes the origin of the Pearly King and Queen tradition and talks about her long life and her family, including ten years spent in Western Australia as a mental nurse.

She is fit and active and a keen needlewoman and participant in outdoor parades and celebrations. She loves Old-Time Music Hall, and it was at such an event that she came across David and Forest Radio.
