Alex is a healthcare professional and former BBC journalist. She joined England's Test and Trace system in May. As a Tier 2 clinical contact caseworker she's trained to call people who've just tested positive for coronavirus and ask them to self-isolate.

Concerned about what she was experiencing she began filming for Panorama. This is a day by day account of her frustration in the face of a totally non-functional and useless online system. She is by no means the only one suffering this frustration.

A shocking indictment of the incompetence and management failure within the government's Test and Trace system that they have hyped as the finest in Europe. Staff are left demoralised and idle and nothing of any use is being achieved. This is the reality behind Test and Trace.
